I went to my local arts festival this weekend and discovered a fabulous artist - Lynn Culp. I loved the personalities that she gives the animals. I ended up buying two paintings that look like my two labs. Best part about it? All the money that was received this last weekend from the reproductions is being donated to an animal shelter.

This unusual pair became best friends when Sophie (the spaniel) took it upon herself to give Bramble (the baby owl) his "daily bath." These two friends have maintained their daily ritual and conservationist Sharon Bindon believes that it will be a "friendship that will last forever."

High Line Park

Yet another reason why NYC is so fantastic. The "eagerly awaited High Line elevated park" opened yesterday in New York City. Why is this park so unique? Because it used to be a railroad track (above NYC) that was abandoned in the 1980s and in twenty years nature took it back over. And now, almost 10 years after that it has been turned into a park.

Color Changing Shirt

How cool is this shirt?! It changes colors based on the temperature - white when it's hot and colored when it's cool. It's like the nail polish I would put on my fingers as a little kid and watch change colors under the water for hours but on a much larger scale.

And in case you were wondering, I did end up buying this shirt last week and I have felt like a little kid all over again wearing it.

My pets are always doing goofy things that make me laugh and while the dog featured below is not one of my pets, he sure made me laughed when I saw this clip. Seriously, how cute is he?

Texts From Last Night

A friend of mine shared this site with me a while ago. I had forgotten about it until the morning show that I listen to in the mornings brought it up. Basically it's a site where people send texts that they had received the night before that the sender probably now regrets - that is if they can even remember sending them.
